Old Lore “The Preamble”
this barrel was our inaugural release, it holds a special place in our hearts.
This barrel was distilled at a heritage distillery in Bardstown, KY. Aged 10 years and 9 months and bottled at it’s barrel proof of 109, it opens with rich notes of apple crisp and caramelized brown butter layered with banana and chocolate syrup. Closely following are notes of maple sweetness and classic baking spices. The finish lingers with soft clove, a touch of black pepper, and nostalgic hints of warm apple crisp and melting French vanilla ice cream-an aged, dessert-forward profile with depth and distinction.
